Alright I know half of you faggots had to use this shit in undergrad. I'm a sophomore and will be using it and the mapping toolbox for some ug research next semester. My school doesn't offer a course on it. Anyone have any tips or resources that they found useful? I only have experience in C++ and Java. I see there's a few MOOCs, and obviously books etc.

I won't be doing anything crazy complicated; will be plotting collected data on an interactive and visually pleasing geographic map that the public could use once exported. (I assume that would only require the mapping toolbox, but if you think another toolbox would be required, or that python+whatever library could work better, please let me know.)
