when you know mass, distance and velocity of the stars within a galaxy you would expect the blue curve.
but instead everything rotates at almost the same speed/gets faster on the outside.
but by imaging more mass in our galaxy its would lead to the red curve.
so if we assume there is more mass, the red would be obtained.
and as we dont know about this mass we call it dark, like unknown or hidden.
