They have a sharp point with a tapered edge they don't have a sharp blade. You can't cut something without a sharp edge.
If they actually had a razor sharp edge they could not hold onto their prey or climb. They'd just slip off and leave some superficial gashes behind, whereas in reality they latch on to their prey so strongly they can be dragged along. Or support their body weight while climbing trees.
