Why is it always proofs by inducton, contradiction, direct ones or giving a counter example?

Only once or twice have I had the need to use some other method to make an argument to ensure my statement holds, it didn't bother me before but quarantine made me realize that there isn't much variety in how we write proofs (in structure, at least). What are some interesting valid methods for writing proofs?
