>>12297536Math grad here. For my current job I had to pass as an statistician for the interview. They knew my degree was in math but made it very clear that they were looking specifically for someone who knew stats. Lucky for me stats is pretty basic stuff and I could answer questions easily but I will say that if I had majored in stats I would have had an easier time at the beginning because I had to learn statistical methods on my own and very quick. To this day I'm still learning more methods that I'm sure I would know if I had taken that major. But god damn is stats boring so I don't regret it.
