I will count every rectangle that does not touch the boundary, then that plus every rectangle that does and calculate an average.
26 not touching the boundary
55 rectangles inside the boundaries including those touching the edges.
(55 + 26) / 2 = average amount of rectangles
81 / 2
40.5 < 41
41 * £7,683 = £315,003

The trick truly is numerical integration. Consider only the rectangles cut by the boundary. Divide each of these rectangles in smaller and smaller rectangles (and consider the corresponding sub-rectangle prices). Then sum it all up. It's long.

Just look at the trapezoid and triangle area formulas

The length dimension is always directly multiplied by the width dimension. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you assume the rectangle is 2m x 1.5m or if you assume its 3m x 1m. As long as the relative sizes are consistent, the triangle and trapezoid area formulas will get you the right answer.

Now count the rectangles, count rectangles inside and also rectangles that have line going through them. I got grid of 7x10, and 14 rectangles outside that arent touching the area, so 70 - 14 = 56, multiply by 8000, 50 × 8 + 6 × 8 = 450 × 1000 = £450 000
