>>12294290i would say that my main disagreements with the scientific consensus are the following:
1) the hegemonic acceptance of inflationary cosmology. for sure the model has a nugget of truth but the model is very "effective". stating it as truth is a mistake, and many alternative models which are just as in agreement with experiment exist -- but the reasoning for favoring standard inflationary cosmology is largely based on subjective whims
2) the idea that there is just one dark matter particle. anytime you look at plots that "rule out" possibilities for dark matter particles, they rest on the assumption that there is just one dark matter particle. this is completely unfounded because there very could well be a full family of dark matter particles.
3) the idea that large extra dimensions is feasible. this is just complete bullshit scientifically. if you enter imaginationland then maybe you can argue it, but occam's razor needs to be applied at some level. large extra dimensions in a large range of parameter space have actually already been ruled out experimentally in the last 4-5 years. so it's basically debunked. yet i saw a recent popsci thing pushing the idea again. no. it's dead. pushing it more is cancer.
i have more, but as usual i expect 0 replies to this post so i will refrain.
