Space is fucking weird, it doesn't follow the laws of physics, it can can expand itself to unimaginable sizes in an instant (literally what the big bang is) or shrink itself into nothing it doesn't have to follow anybodies rules and you can bet there is a hell of a lot of it outside our universe.
Space is the eternal void, the abyss, it's nothing and it is everywhere.
