Is Elon Musk’s concept for this jet viable or will it be another hyperloop exit scam?

The way I see it, each of these things (VTOL, supersonic, electric) are good in their own niche but all put together in one vehicle is just silly. There’s no need for VTOL commercial airliners, there’s plenty of existing runways in the world. Supersonic flight consumes a massive amount of energy. Batteries just do not have the density to facilitate either of these things let alone both.
