How does pressure on planets work? I think i understand how pressure works in a vacuum chamber but how the fuck does a planet do that? Does space press against the shell of the atmosphere???

The weight of the atmosphere presses down on the objects contained within, the same as an object under the sea.
The atmosphere is a fluid the same as the ocean, and there are tides and huge waves on the exospheric surface just as there are tides and huge waves on the sea surface.

Liquids are made of groups of molecules bound together by intermolecular forces, whereas gas molecules go around on their own. Liquids are more or less incompressible whereas gases are very compressible and will fill whatever chamber they're within ASSUMING there are no forces acting on them. This is why gases don't fly off into space, gravity holds them to the earth.

Air has mass. At ground level 1 m^3 is 1.2 kg. And having mass, means it is attracted by gravity.
With increasing altitude the density decreases but you have to go 100 km up before you are considered to be in vacuum of space.
