What if someone said ideas themselves are a "living" entity like a virus(though a virus isnt technically living) One whose method of transmission is from consciousness to consciousnesses. Like a living entity ideas are subject to natural selection,mutation and cross contamination.
Some minds can be natural immune to some ideas some minds are readily accepting. What if ideas had an R factor like viruses.
Personally i see memetics as merely the delivery mechanism for said ideas.
could Ideas be engineered or vaccines be developed so certain ideas are nullfied though im sure this is propose of propaganda.
