It's going to be much faster as post-humans will intelligently design themselves, technological progress is way faster than pure natural selection. It almost makes me wonder whether it makes much difference whether AI will wipe out humanity instantly and painlessly or we will "merge" with it, if we're going to very soon evolve into something utterly alien that we wouldn't identify with now nor would identify with current humanity itself either.
