>>12288446It does make sense. Nothing comes for free. Why are we not 10 feet tall? Why don't we all have the strength of gorillas? Why do we need to sleep?
Because it all costs you. We keep asking questions such as "why do we need to sleep?" but I think it's probably an upside down view. "Why do we need to be awake?" might be the better question. Our bodies conserve energy and our muscles atrophy when they are not being used. That makes more sense than carrying around bulky muscles that burn calories all the time.
So why are women so weak and pathetic?
Why are humans so weak and pathetic for that matter?
Because we don't need to be any stronger and because evolution has a certain economy of resources. Monkeys, for example, are much strong than we are, or so I heard. I remember having read that they engage more muscle fibers simultaneously. We are weaker in exchange for fine motor control. Fewer muscle fibers become engaged at any given time, yet, from what I understand, it helps us exert finer motor control that is helpful for manipulation of objects.
The sexes have always been a method for separation of labor. With gender dynamics being what they are, you are led to believe that some people think men and women are enemies. But they are not. We had enough to do not being killed by one of the million things that can kill us. We didn't have time for some nonsensical gender war. Men had one set of tasks, women another. Men dealt with violence, women dealt more with social cohesion. It's separation of labor and economy of resources.
