People say math is a big brain thing but its literally just recipes and making shit simpler

I'd say for me it's a million small things that once you understand make things very clear and interesting. Math is about drawing connections between seemingly different things. For instance, I liked linear 2nd order pdes, but the more I studied physics the more they came up and you can immediately understand how something novel to you works on an abstract level.

Some years ago I had some revelation to look at multiplication and division, numbers, differently that made it really easy. Then I forgot it.

Basically people were teaching me the wrong way for a long time.

I do though have a way with languages and words. I can figure out relations and patterns that other people don't.
