People who use flashcards and mnemonics are retards. How hard is it to just make sense of the world that you need to code yourself bit by bit like a fucking AI. Both. Those are two independent dimensions. Anki is just an algorithm that optimizes the timing of the flashcards, you could use the same principles of Anki with "experiences" and it would basically be the best thing possible. Good card design goes pretty far though.

my exams were literally like this we even did face muscles
this was an undergraduate A&P, there really arent that much muscles imo i dont think , no we didnt go through the individual muscles of the hand or feet, but ur picture doesnt either. so thats where im assuming ur coming from. we did do all the large muscles and face muscles and rib muscles.

also no , the tests werent all just names of muscles there was a lot of identifying with pictures and there were models set out and then u had to find the spot on the cadavar bodies as well. again it was ez.

But you need a basis before "experiencing" a language, you need to have some vocabulary/grammar as to start with.

And immersion is not the only thing, you need memorization too, so not, experiencing a language is not the way to go, you need both experience and rot memorization

i never memorized flexion and extension of amuscle. i conceptualized. if they asked me what is happening when u bend ur hand back i would know it was flexion because id literally flex my hand in the test to see whats going on with the muscle : and lo and behold it flexes when u flex it backwards. ur a brainlet.

if ur going to go as broad as perspective as possible the only niche u win at ive heard is kanji. anki is good for kanji, repetition is good for kanji. in fact thats how japanese learn kanji. but im going to say that not all languages have a million characters. sry but this is ur only strong argument for being pro repetition.

I'm not English, I'm French.

Had to learn Spanish, English which I now fully grasp.

And delved profoundly into Arabic, and now I'm doing the same with German so I am speaking from my experience.

Immersion is best, but memorization is essential. Memorization is good because most languages are alien to each another.

Romance languages learning is easier once you know one, learning Dutch is easy once you are English, learning German is more alien because of the structure, Russian is impossible without memorization.
Learning Japanese/Chinese/Korean needs a lot, lot of memorization either because of the logograms or new words. You can go to China with 0 knowledge and experience the language and learn, but it will take you decades, which memorization speeds up to mere years.

Is there a way to change the hotkeys for reviewing, other than the largest addon to that name.
I as using 1 for again, 2 for good and 3 for easy.

But what I didn't realize was that once a card had graduated it went to 2-hard, 3-good, 4-easy.
So for the first week I was marking a huge quantity of my cards as hard when they were not.

The addon doesn't work for this change because it doesn't let me change good to always be 2, and easy to always be 3. It just replaces 1/2/3/4 wit other keys.

I dont agree with you here. I dont care about the philosophy or morality of learning. If it works, I use it.

I gained some serious rank in bullet chess (where you have just one minute to make your moves) by using anki. I took image from thousands of board positions so learning the anki card basically wired me to do the same in-game. Of course we can never know what rank I would have now were I to use another method.

Anki is very boring, and you forget it almost every week.

Numbered interdigitals, tenar, hypotenar. Big fucking deal.

Anatomy is piss easy. The only part I had problem with was the scafoid bone which is buried deep in the skull so i couldn't make a clear picture.

The correct way to do Anki is understanding the material, chunking informations from generalities to details and then doing your own cards.
Anki cards are just a refreshing mechanism.

If you've fallen behind, use the ReMemorize addon to spread your cards over the next week.

If anki is boring then maybe you are trying to memorize something you aren't interested in or wont end up using.

Or maybe your cards are too easy or too difficult. If that's the case adjust the interval modifier to target a true retention of 80-90%.
