Ive turned volcanic rock fire bricks into lava which then dries into a green/ black glass. I imagine i could do anything that melts under around 2500- 2700 if i pushed it.
I built these using perlite and mizzou castable refractory with a hardface of mizzou in freon tanks for like 100 bucks. My burner is a 3/4 inch t burner.
