Explain to me why subraction and division is just addition and multiplication, respectively.

Because they don't actually exist. Inverses don't exist in terms of being a negation. There's just addition and multiplication but multiplication is second order addition so there's really just addition.

I dont see why it has to be? Subtraction is removing some, division is just tallying up the number of sets in the bigger set
