Observe how kindness acts as a catalyst which moves things from a suffering to unsuffering state. See how the universe evolutionarily selects for entities which distribute at least some degree of kindness, at least enough to counterbalance random suffering.
While you might suffer for arbitrarily long periods of time, there does not exist a time such that there is only suffering after that time, and furthermore the ratio of suffering to lack of suffering should tend to zero as time goes to infinity.
