What's your studying daily schedule? Also, general scientist crazy scheduling. I need motivation on sitting my butt down and spending time studying.

As a bachelor student I used to work 2 hours every evening plus 8 hours on saturday and 4 hours on sunday.
As a master I don't give a fuck anymore and do a bit as it comes... usually at least 4 hours each weekend though.
I listen to patriotic / chauvinistic songs to motivate myself, lol

It's easy, I just treat it like a job. 7-8h from 9 to 5 every day with a lunch break at 12. Weekends are free. If there's something urgent I finish it during free time, though.

I was like this too until I went to uni. At that point I was so used to not needing to study that I just ended up being a failure due to not studying.

It's hard for me to understand this. What do you do when you're studying? If you study 8+ hours every day, you should be at least a month ahead of your classes by the end of the semester. Or does "study" just mean stumble through homework?

Is studying supposed to feel slightly exertive? I'm ocd with exertion meaning i'm doing something wrong. It my new psychosis symptom.

Not studying and living life on an impulse is easy, smooth and care free with room/flexability to whatever comes my way and that feels nice but taking time to study things and be apart of something feels more fulfilling. But the exertion in studying rubs me in a wrong way, it sets off my OCD alarms like i said before.

I'm torn between two worlds. Pacing is probably what i'm after. Do you take it easy with study too? Can it repulse you at times?

In non-psych babble most people would say they have a desire or drive to study at some times but its not often enough to be successful in their field. That's why you need discipline so you force yourself to do it, even when you don't have the mental urge to do so.
Sounds like you've turned your OCD into a coping mechanism for pure idleness.

A good pace is important. I personally pace up and down the hallway for 12 hours a day, studying nonstop

Do any of you guys work? I'm undergrad EE and between internship, zoom classes, and exercise I only have like 6 waking hours of any given day, and I only spend like 1 hour a day studying to save time to hang out with friends and gf.

Legit how do you study for 5-8 hours daily? I get that kinda schedule around midterms and finals but every day sounds seriously overbearing and doesn't leave any time for a job or social life. How do you do it anons I want to be a braingod
