what kinds of tools do you anons use to organize notes or log behavior? I've wanted to find something that would combine my daily activities: taking class notes, logging movies/anime, as well as general diary/to-do stuff.

I was leaning towards something like emacs org-mode or markdown, something plain text, but I would like a system that makes cross referencing easy, for instance hovering a movie would bring up a poster, or hovering on a defined term would bring up a preview of the writing I've done on it. any suggestions?
