>>12269131>All you need is a simple cloth maskIf I wear a pair of underwear and dry hump someone, my odds of getting a disease are lower than if I screwed them naked. But if you have an STD, and you're wearing dirty underwear, the underwear is now filled with your disease-ridden fluids.
If you took the underwear off and let it get cold, the viruses and bacteria would probably die. But lets say you don't - you put the same pair of dirty underwear on that you keep in your pocket every time you have sex.
My mom always told me to change my underwear at least every day. Medical professionals change their mask every 15-40mins.
Unless you change your mask at that interval, the mask is actually a dirty vector for covid-19.
Why do you think they sell masks in packs of 40+?
>to help mitigate the spread, even if worn improperly you're doing a lot more to help mitigate the spread than a Trumper who refuses to put one on and refuses to practice social distancingI wear a mask because I'm required to. I keep it off my nose like 50% of other people I see, making the mask completely useless.
I've done lab work as a student, and made my own beer and fungal cultures. Early on, I made mistakes because I didn't follow cleaniness standards. Eventually I accepted I had to be obsessive about being clean, or my beer wouldn't brew.
Knowing how to actually use a face mask, and having failed before due to improperly using one, I can tell you that they do work - In Their Context. If you washed your hands before putting one on, wore gloves, and changed the gloves before changing the mask, you'd be using the mask right.
You know you have to wear gloves for it to even matter, right? You do remember seeing all the walmart employees in nitrile gloves, right?
Masks do work, but not in a vacuum. If we went all the way, I'd care, but you can't half-ass this, and knowing that everyone is half-assing it makes the whole thing look like mass-psychosis and magical thinking to educated people.
