So I'm looking at the website futuretimeline.net and thinking it looks a little over-optimistic, not as much as our good friend Ray Kurzweil, but still a little odd. 2065 anti-aging therapies is a good example. Wondering what /sci thinks on this.

I like it as a new site. All in all I say its a product of its time and its predictions are not unbiased, and they should have accepted a more cautious portrayal of social developments but their scientific predictions are not too far off.

Really? Because as far as I can recall, metamaterials have existed for a fairly long time and not just since 2019. In fact, I would say that they even existed long before 2012 when the predictions were made. With a particular type of stealth bomber used by the United States military since 1987 that is still in service today.
