However, that doesn't explain why objects move towards depressions - in a rubber sheet analogy, we only intuitively understand it has to fall down into depression because if we realized this scenario here on Earth, it would fall down due to gravity, it doesn't explain the gravity itself!
You can't really explain why objects follow the curvature of spacetime without delving deep into Einstein's equations, Christoffel symbols and shit like that - you can say something like "it's due to time curvature, because time runs slower on surface of the Earth than high up", but that should just result in another "why?".
