In Germany at my school, labs are worth 20-30% of some classes, the rest is from exams. Going all out on a lab can help pump your grade up.

Yeah you would want to work hard on those. But in my school, labs are individual 1 credit courses, but the with work per week equivalent to about 6 credits.

For reference, a regular junior/senior level class is 3 credits.

Most of it is just writing mechanically steps and techniques.
It becomes pretty formulaic.

After shitposting thousands of words a day for years, writing labs is easy
