Beets are high in betaine aka TMG. Betaine makes your methyl cycle go very fast. Maybe this is related. Try buying some betaine/tmg supplements (NOT betaine hcl) and see if it happens

Maybe nitric oxide causing vasodilation. Nitric oxide is sometimes used as supplement for erectile dysfunction. Beets are rich in nitrates
