What the actual fuck is going on with neuroscience?? is it a legit field of science or just a niche area of study that has no science in it?

I had an optional course on it as a part of my university formation program and it was just hand positions, mudras, good vibes and weird assumptions that made no sense at all.
The course relied heavily on evidence gathered on really controlled environments and instructions based on positivity as an argument for it to work.

Obviously I dropped it as soon as I could, but now at work we are taking the same course on the same bullshit as part of a back to school preparation program.

Did this thing became something considered worth instructing everywhere because it is a legit field of study or is it just me being a bad vibes person for thinking it is pseudoscience trash?
