Fair enough. I had a similar problem. Sober, I would always obsessively self-analyze my speech before and after speaking, so I would fumble over my words or (more often than not) just keep quiet. Alcohol made this habit untenable, just from a mental processing power perspective.

seems to confirm the picture. I'm pretty sure I'm actually dumber when under the influence of alcohol, but weirdly "everything seems to fall into place" after I drink.

That seems to be something I had when I was young, but now I seem to just "freeze" whenever a non-familiar subject is entered.

My mother was a socialite her whole life
She caught on to my insecurity very quickly

You know what she did ? She put me in a acting school

I had to go in front of so many people and make a fool of myself so many times that eventually i became like her

Its a muscle like anything else - practice makes perfect

Take MDMA a couple of times (never more than that because youll get addicted) and write down all the things you felt..

Then simulate those things when sober. Practice makes perfect.
Youll be coming onto random people and making friends with them in no time.

In this case its nurture > nature

You know, I was exagerating when I was saying "turbo-normie", what I meant was simply that I was able to do "normal" conversation at all.

It has to be taxing to some degree, and I'm more the kind of guy who will obsessively ruminate on some percieved problem before it's resolved (or I go to sleep) so it should have an effect.

Hmm, yeah. I am "smart" when it comes to writing, but not when it comes to talking. When I drink and inhibitions are lowered even slightly, the gap is reduced dramatically.

I think that life is significantly more harder without at least 5 close friends

I was a turbo introvert and mega shy, but now when i go out i just approach people until someone takes a liking to me
Good for finding friends and girlfriends , but youll be surprised how the butterfly effect works with these things

the job i have right now - ive got it from a friend thats a literal braindead stoner
