>>122596374chan is a hentai website where you can express your true degenerate opinion and there's no mechanism to filter you out or shame you, or have to give a shit about reputation or your "political standing" with the forum.
I used to frequent some phpbb forums back in the 2000's . No matter how obscure the topic of the forum was just having a pseudonymous identity to identify you with your posts always without fail resulted in fucking weird politics and drama within the members of the site, the power-tripping mods and admins.
Reddit in contrast, takes all the worst aspects of that and makes them worse. Now not only is there the weird politics, the whole philosophy of the website is based on "community consensus". You upvote and downvote "quality content" so that you can have "quality discussion" about it, and people can vote on your posts so that you can get "karma" and you're viewed as a "quality contributor". What emerges from this is that every single subreddit has a rigidly defined narrative and an official opinion about everything related to that subtopic. If you don't agree with it your opinion will literally be buried or you'll be banned so you have to go in your little box (another subreddit) where everyone agrees with you.
