Go baxk and read psychologists a decade ago and you will see just how much of their own personal expectation or perspective is strewn all over their work. This "science is wrong then it's updated" shit works a little differently when you're labelling and conditioning human beings.
To define a disorder, you have to define a standard, objective expectation, and while that fallacy might have herd-utility relative to those at the wheel, the empiricism is always an illusion.
Unfortunately for objective psychology, even the psychopath, the sociopath, the manipulators, the abusers, on and on, all have merit in the grand scheme of reality. They unwittingly turn people into domesticated dogs and line them in a perfect pen for anyone savvy enough to control them.
At best, a psychiatrist can be radically understanding that this is just an organism with its own set of responses, and it has merit in its existence. There is wisdom and "power" in all ways a human being is, and this becomes known when they are most developed as THEMSELVES.
Psychiatry should be mostly hands off and a potential set of techniques to condition the patient how the patient wants to be conditioned.
If you want to genuinely study and look at psychiatry and psychology, you cannot do it with expectation. You will always blind yourself. You can only do it for awareness if you wish to genuinely understand
