As a result, /v/, /pol/, and /his/ are all F tiers whereas boards with less ideological circlejerks to participate in such as /ck/, /out/ and /diy/ are of substantially higher quality. I assume this is because boards such as those encourage creative hobbies whereas /pol/, /his/ and /v/ encourage non-creative hobbies and thus attract less intelligent people
/sci/ and /g/ are a mixture of these two, on one hand this place is home to people who are actively researching and programming, but on the other we also have people here that just consume popsci and post about it here (see: IQ threads, scientifically speaking why... threads, 0.999... threads, kurzgesagt threads etc.) so really the quality of threads here have a wider variance in quality than on most other boards
