>with a pile of food and suppliesThere's flaw number two
Very few people have two weeks of supplies on hand and the process of acquiring them would overwhelm the food distribution system. Same for "supplies". Want to military to deliver supplies to 330 million people? Now you've added several million members of the military to the count of disease spreading vectors and an even larger reservoir. Not to mention the military doesn't have enough food and supplies for 330 million people. Nor do they know what companies have what supplies in which warehouses. And is going to run those warehouses?
Which bring us to flaw number three? Who enforces the lockdown? Oh wait, police, so now you have yet another group moving about, spreading the virus. What happens if a police car breaks down or a healthcare worker's car needs a repair? Time to let automotive mechanics out of the lockdown. What if they need supplies? Time to let the guys at the warehouse out. What if some of the required supplies aren't in the warehouse? Time to let the assembly guys out along with truck drivers.
Even running a skeleton version of modern society ends up requiring large numbers of "essential" workers.
