Has anyone here taken a maths (yes Bong) tutor as an adult?

I'm fucking 34 now and one of my academic regrets is not taking maths beyond our compulsory age of 16. Here, there are two more years of school after that where we do "A-levels", before going to university.

I struggle with motivation to learn new shit by myself and always let it slide, year after year, after getting a little way into it.

A classroom setup would be ideal but that's obv not going to happen now (and is rare anyway, for adults). Has anyone here engaged a private tutor for this? Did it work out? I need someone to make me do the fucking work and that requires a strong character because I'm a literal Chad and intimidate many people.

Genuine q. Do you any you adults use tutors?
