>>12253332>>12253205I wouldn't be shocked if there was some ancient as fuck, island-based city-state, relatively advanced astronomical knowledge due to their penchant for sailing. they'd sail around eurasian coastlines and rivers, eventually even reaching south america, making diplomatic connections and sharing knowledge of construction and agriculture. then they promptly sink into the ocean because of an earthquake or something. then all knowledge of them disappears, because nobody kept written records of anything back then.
there'd be a lot of ancient rumours and myths about them being highly advanced and futuristic (because they technically were), but they were just really good at sailing and supporting their endeavors with agriculture and astronomy.
