Can someone explain why what i see in a mirror changes based on viewing angle?
You'd figure that if a mirror is in a static position, it would always reflecting the same angle, i don't understand how my position changes what the mirror reflects.

Your position doesn't change what the mirror reflects, but I changes which part of the reflected light you see. Shine a flashlight at a mirror so that the reflected spot is on the wall. If you intercept the reflected beam you will see it as a probably blinding light, but if you don't then it still gets reflected onto the wall.

The angle of reflection is the same as the angle of refraction. You are always dealing with a "V" shape. Your position to the mirror determines the angle of the V, the angle tightens to an "I" shape when you're looking straight on. Knowing this can me helpful, adjusting mirrors. Observe your line to the mirror and you will see what is on the other line.
