>>12253512I did the first review on Amazon that has 15 users liked this. To be honest I haven't read arken but just looked through arken, the great thing about the book I posted is that it goes over theory much deeper and special topics and it gives really great presentation and difficult questions on calculus, linear algebra, special topics, odes, complex analysis. The hardest part for me was the beginning section of the book, that and I disliked how it doesn't go over pdes that much, I wished they would have given a whole chapter or two on pdes just as they did on odes, overall 9/10. Also it's nice, looks better and the font is prettier and it gives more interesting reading to the material, it gives motivation by using physics examples alot, I would buy it again personally, great for any physicist/mathematician.
It lacks 2 things though, wish they expanded the part on pdes and I wish they doubled the problems, the problems are already difficult and very good, just wish they added more, its an excellent text besides that, the beginning was difficult to me though. I think if one works through this book and math methods by Boas and some random pde book like by Olver- partial differential equations, they won't need anymore math in their skillset
