I guess the 247 zeptoseconds paper defined the length of a hydrogen molecule as something like the internuclear distance. If you define the size of the hydrogen molecule as the farthest reaches of its wavefunction, it would technically be infinite, but that's not a very productive definition.

According to the Many-Worlds Interpretation, the photon far away doesn't change polarity, you just wind up in a universe where its polarity is a certain value. This is because you entangle yourself with the polarity of the system. Hopefully that makes a little sense.
