>>12248752All three have their purpose. CE isn’t so much some EE and some CS as much as it’s the parts of EE related to designing the computer. The coursework is built around this, so even though CE takes data structures, compilers, and maybe a systems course past architecture, your focus will be building towards microprocessors, VLSI, etc etc.
It’s a good degree, and it’s not a meme. Just be sure that’s what you want to study in college. EE is fine too, and CS at good schools is really good. That field is still young that it’s still separating their best from their worst, but CS is theoretically interesting, practical, and rigorous when it’s not about programming (so it’s an excellent thing to do a PhD in, especially at top schools, but iffy if you want to do undergrad at an ok university).
