Euler contributed things like "Hey guys, if you think of the equation this way, you can save 40 pages of paperwork" While Gauss just straight up solved actual physical rules.
Euler's work can be done just by writing equations for weeks on end while Gauss' requires intuition and intelligence and cannot be done by just writing numbers forever.
