I've successfully quit smoking thanks to high strength nicotine pouches, but there isn't much research on the manufacture and chemistry thereof. Are nicotine salts alone carcinogenic?
Wikipedia says that: "Nicotine can form carcinogenic Tobacco-specific nitrosamines (TSNAs) through a nitrosation reaction. This occurs mostly in the curing and processing of tobacco. However, nicotine in the mouth and stomach can react to form N-Nitrosonornicotine, a known type 1 carcinogen, suggesting that consumption of non-tobacco forms of nicotine may still play a role in carcinogenesis."
So what's the deal? I'm not going to get lung cancer using pic related, but I might get some other kind of cancer?
