One of my friends just spontaneously died from leukemia after having ignored fairly mild symptoms for about a year. One of his most recent ailments was some sort of hip pain or hip dysfunction. Oddly enough, when I was mentioning this story to a pancreatic researcher (the closest to a medical expert I know) he seemed to instantly know that the hip pain was indicative of some sort of serious underlying condition and even suggested leukemia. I didn’t have time to dig into it any more so I’m wondering if you guys could explain to me what the relationship is between hip dysfunction in youth (sub 25) and blood cancers?
