More reactions is proportional to beam flux's product with microscopic cross section.

Atom's density is proportional to beam flux product macroscopic cross section.

You need density of uran's atom's, beam flux of neutron beam.

The more dense is atoms, the more flux of neutron beam is required for same fission.

Atleast according to wiki.

With more dense atom the scattering is harder, atleast it's happening at shorter distance in material...

Therofere if we put uranium in alloy to have less dense nuclear neurons, neutron scattering may happen more with less neutron beams.

second equation is even easier, it's getting thickerr inversly proportional to beam flux ( down ) and density of atoms
