This is what the guys in my engineering course look like.

Went to school with them nearly ten-years ago. We all looked more normal back then. But now this. THIS.

Why does this always fucking happen to engineers? Wtf man? Where the fuck has my life gone? WHERE HAS ANY OF OUR LIVES GONE!? These years? Why did everything crumble and take the weirdest plot twists to rival an anime? Why did nothing go the way our parents and teachers said they would? Why did everything trip into this pit where even they can't figure out how to help?

As a current engineering student, observing my peers:

-Nobody around me knows anything about investing or finances. I have been saving as much money as I can and investing in vehicles of varying risk on the market, to mixed success. But my success rate is improving and so are my profits. Nobody ever got rich off an hourly wage, but so many engineers are content to just let their cash sit, or go into debt for a new car, or to please a woman because most of them are simps. You have these guys who make 75k US a year, but are 35 and have no real money saved up or capital growing in investments. What the fuck?

-Many of them never give enough consideration to their bodies. I have been lifting for 4 years and rode my first 100k on a bike earlier this year. You need to take care of your body because your mind relies on it.

-Read some books other than newish science fiction, Get somewhat cultured, read 19th and 20th century classics, try to understand the philosophical canon a bit. It makes you less one-dimensional.

God I wish this weren’t true. There’s no time to have a proper workout and for some reason there’s a culture of rewarding yourself with food and drinks for working so hard on science shit. I just wanna go back to uni where the gym was 5 minutes away and all you had to do after class was fuck around with the boys

I know that feel anon. I just don't have time to workout. 1-2 hours every other day? I have work to do all the time, and when I don't have work I have to eat/sleep or just want to wind down. When I had nothing to do I could hit the gym every day, now I just don't ever feel like it. You also start to realize all muscle beyond a certain point is just dead weight and a waste of time. STEM people all think logically and in terms of what is most efficient, they come to the same conclusion, working out is pointless. That's why every body in STEM is fat or skinny, there's no fit nerds to be found.

Not true. Obesity rates are very low in Europe at any age. And our definitions are very strict. I failed to see American-like fattos anywhere in France, UK and Spain. I saw them in Germany, a very few, and they were visibly low class. The corporate world here is made up only of thin people. Playing a team sport is much better than lifting
>train both muscles and cardio
>lose weight
>don't overstress your bones
>have fun, so easier to come back to
>make friends along the way, rather than lifting alone
>meet qts in joint socials
>become toned ottermode, which women prefer to being massive

I really wish I joined a team sport in my degree, but I was too autistic to. I only hope other anons avoid the same fate
