Like evolution, order arises without a greater intelligence overriding things. In computer science we control these emergent properties by defining the rules, which is contrary to the philosophy of laissez faire. Economics attempts to study what policies would lead to the optimal outcome, but I think econ could draw more from computer science, maths, and evolutionary biology to get a more salient solutions/understanding.

In terms of chaotic interest, it would be more "interesting" to see what would happen if he didn't get elected and the reaction of the big trump supporters. It's been speculated that it could lead to violence. Idk maybe some kind of social catharsis.
Though in general this election seems like 2016 rehash. Any interest I had has evaporated. I don't care for violence. And would rather everything be reset to boring so that I could concentrate better on intellectual pursuits.
