What do I need to learn to develop or use AI's?

/3/ fag here. As of late I've been having a bunch of youtube videos on my feed that show how modern research in AI seeks to automatize a lot of the work that is made for 3D animations. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzHenjHBBds So, to me it is clear that in order to not be left behind I'll have to learn how to AI, but the truth is I don't know anything about computer science other than writing simple scripts for Blender and Zbrush. So... please tell me what kind of books, subjects and everything I should learn in order to understand AIs

So what would you need to know about it for art. Nothing because this is all covered in a graphics course: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9_jI1bdZmz2emSh0UQ5iOdT2xRHFHL7E some of this maybe you could train repetitive tasks but for the most part they will still need original artists obviously.

A question I have is, just how math is the "bare minimal" to have prior to all this? It is clear to me that vector calculus is fundamental (it was already fundamental to me in order to understand how 3D software works), but, do I also need to know more modern math? Like, Analysis and advanced stuff alike? I am kind of stupid to be honest. My IQ, the only time I measured it properly, is of 117.

Math is just being a lawyer.
Can you convince somebody that something is true? That's all math is.
Then with practice you start to use the math style/lingo of writing said arguments.

Analysis is actually the easiest math you will ever do because it teaches you how everything is constructed, once you know that then you can derive whatever it is you want to know by pointing at the early constructions. See: https://learnaifromscratch.github.io/math.html

Do you need to know more? Prob not. Are you going to be modelling a real life system with differential eq and solving it? No then you're fine. There is other ways of automating animation and things too, I don't think AI will make a difference except tools that artists use to make it easier but you can still hand draw everything if you want to.

The game-changing thing that AIs are about to do in animation is that, instead of having to sculpt everything from scratch in 3D software, Ais are being trained to generate 3D meshes from photography samples. Also, until very recently animation aritsts had to use mocaps or just guess how the movements of organic bodies looked like, and now there's Ais doing all the gravity/kinetic calculations of how those masses look like when walking, colliding etc. Of course, I am more in the artistic side but I understand that getting into AI will soon become a MUST for the industry, and I, you know, just want to get prepared in order to not become obsolete

You won't be obsolete just like how photoshop or illustrator didn't make artists obsolete it will just become a tool you run, so you make a drawing proof of concept and some program like Apple MemeIllustrator then animates it with it's proprietary ML and as an artist you don't know anything that's happening except how to use the tool.

Any kind of breakthrough's like this are surely to be made into tools but writing a script/scene or character concept still requires pen and paper. That said maybe you want to take those resources anyway and make your own tools
