I'm looking to see if my gym knowledge also applies to my brain.

Can I study a session and then later go to sleep when I feel sleepy and then go back to study later?

Will this help me learn faster?
I mean, isn't sleeping just the same as resting and when you sleep the brain build muscle and restores itself?
So wouldn't be logical that while I'm sleeping my brain is building those synapses I need to learn something?
