According to this, there are doctors, professors, scientists, and engineers with IQs as low as 100. How is that possible?

They are extremely logical and or have good memory so they don't need to rely as much on pattern recognition to learn complex material

The lower your iq the harder you have to work to achieve the same thing as someone with a higher IQ. Up to a certain point that is. Someone with an IQ of 60 isn't going to become a professor for the same reason that a cripple isn't going to scale mt everest. Just the way it is.

Surprisingly enough a slightly-above-average IQ paired with several years of med school is enough to make a fairly solid general practitioner.

I have ADHD and my short term/working memory is bad enough that I can barely read fluently. I can still manage A's in college math and comp sci. I think it depends on your field, I actually explicitly chose math due to it being brainless shit an illiterate person can do.
