Theory of Relativity/Math Base Reformation

I don’t know if the theory of relativity was meant to put scientists on the wrong track or if it was the best that could be done with the limited technology of the time, but the theory does not hold up to our current day observations.
It works on the medium scale, which is what could be observed in Einstein’s time, but on the large scale and small scale it no longer applies which is why it is a theory and not a law.
It has forced scientists to believe in dark energy/matter to account for the discrepancies between our analysis and data of our universe’s expansion and gravitational fields among stars and galaxies, and what his theory says it should be.
We are left with 4 options
1. Our observations are wrong
2. The theory is flawed
3. An unobservable mass(50%+ of the universe!!!) exists
4. Our math system is flawed
I read an article over a decade ago on reforming the math’s base system so that E=M instead of E=MC^2. Is anyone familiar with this reformation?
