Can lysine be Substituted in collagen?

95% of skin, tendon aging and age related high blood pressure is caused because over time, glucose forms irreversible crosslinks between lysine and arginine. there are only 29 lysine amino acids per 1000 in collagen type 1, is there another amino acid which could be substituted through genetic engineering to remove this source of age related pathology? over 140 amino acids exist in nature, and thousands upon thousands or artificial ones exist. surely there one of them could substitute lysine and NOT form advanced glycation products
