That makes no sense, because we can still see colour at night despite having fewer cones. Why would having more cones make you see less colour?

You would be good at detecting slight color differences but you wouldn't be able to track moving objects for shit. Nobody would be able o drive cars because everything would be moving too fast for you to process.

I think birds have an additional sensor that can pick up near uv, their feathers are really shiny in that spectrum apparently.
