OP here. I don't know much about analysis related things like SPDE, but heard of him as solving the KPZ equation. Is there any good textbook to start SPDE or related stuff?

Their works are mostly about topology, especially low dimensional (3 or 4 dimesion) stuff besides Milnor.

Start from general (point-set) topology and algebraic/differential topology after it. These are prerequisites.

After these, Thurston's lecture notes on 3-manifold, Donaldson & Kronheimer's 'thr geometry of 4-manifold', Milnor's 'Characteristic class' are pretty good stuff, and Witten's 'Morse theory and supersymmetry', 'Topological quantum field theory', 'Quantum field theory and Jones polynomial' are essential.
